If you have arrived in England after international travel and are looking to complete your day 2 and day 8 Covid Tests,
come to Anna Pharmacy where we can accommodate approved Test to Release applicants and all incoming international travellers with variations of day 2 and day 8 PCR testing. Day 2 and day 8 tests are self-administered with detailed instructions included as part of the testing material. Those qualifying for the Test to Release scheme require a nose and mouth swab in person, to be carried out by a trained pharmacist on our team.
For more information regarding our day 2 and day 8 testing services, please view our pricing chart. To learn more about who should seek out day 2 and day 8 PCR Testing, please keep reading.
Currently, due to the Covid pandemic, all travellers arriving on inbound flights to England from international destinations are subject to government mandated COVID-19 PCR Testing. This applies to all UK and Foreign Nationals above the age of 4, with PCR Testing required on day 2 for fully vaccinated travellers and day 2 as well as day 8 for unvaccinated travellers arriving from any country of origin.
Day 2 tests
Required by arrivals from both green and amber listed countries.
Day 8 tests
Required by arrivals from amber listed countries without legal exemption
from quarantine or 8 day testing.
Read more about 8 day exemption here.
In addition to completing a day 2 and/or day 8 test, you will be required to show proof of negative Covid test result once you have arrived in England. This should be obtained through PCR Testing from a private provider within 72 hours of your departure. This documentation must be presented alongside your passenger locator form, which should be completed no more than 48 hours before entering the UK. As per government guidelines, all travellers arriving or returning to England must undergo 10 days of mandatory quarantine, unless they possess a valid reason for exemption.
If you are arriving from a Red Listed Country, different rules may apply to you. Please visit the government website for the current red listed countries and to learn more about the entry requirements affecting travellers from these countries of origin.
